On 14 April 2026, SEO/BirdLife took a group of older people on a visit to the Ebro Delta (Catalonia, Spain), as part of ROOTED. The group visited wetland viewpoints, including a covered viewpoint next to a wooden observation tower, and watched birds with binoculars from a bird hide. ROOTED’s aim is to bring older adults closer to nature through accessible, enjoyable outdoor activities.

Visitors line up along the windows of a wooden bird hide and look out through binoculars.
