About us

How did it start?

BirdLife Malta offers innovative environmental education programs for children and teenagers, inspiring a love for nature among the younger generation. Over time, the enthusiasm of the children has sparked interest in adults and senior citizens, who often yearn for similar experiences but are caught in routines or isolated environments.

Our objectives

The project’s core objectives include promoting lifelong learning by engaging senior citizens through activities like birdwatching and interactive podcasts that blend personal narratives with expert insights. Participants also learn digital skills by inputting bird sightings into databases and using technology to explore environmental conservation.
